An Invitation
If you have at hand another edition or translation of any of these works, check the passages.
You will probably find solutions different from mine. That is not a problem to be solved: it is the nature of the thing. Comparing two translations of the same passage usually reveals more about the original than either of them alone, because it is precisely where the two diverge that lies what no language can hold whole.
And, in the end, this is the argument of this book applied to itself. No translation is the translation. No revelation is the revelation.
