Four Witnesses
A deduction is not a proof. Before opening the Spiritist codification to answer the objection, let us hear witnesses: four distinct sources, very different from one another, that never knew each other and have nothing to do with Kardec — Ra, Bashar, Sai Baba and Patanjali.
Ra communicated through a process of deep-trance channeling. It did not present itself as a person: it said it was a social memory complex, a concept explained in the next chapter.
Bashar communicates through conscious channeling and presents himself as a physical extraterrestrial — not a discarnate spirit — from a civilization that vibrates in a frequency range our instruments cannot reach.
Sathya Sai Baba was an Indian man, incarnate on Earth, who became one of the best-known spiritual masters of the twentieth century. He founded an ashram that grew into a complex of hospitals, a university and services to society, all free of charge.
Patanjali is the name given to whoever wrote the Yoga Sutras, the text at the foundation of all Yoga, almost two thousand years ago. Here there is no channeling and no contact: there is a book — and an author about whom almost nothing is known, not even whether it was one person or several.
